Tom Dixon Studio names Helene Bangsbo Andersen as Managing & Creative Director
British luxury design brand Tom Dixon Studio has promoted Helene Bangsbo Andersen to Managing Director and Creative Director of Tom Dixon and Design Research Studio (DRS).
The promotion acknowledges Andersen’s significant influence and impact on the business to date. Celebrating her 15th anniversary this year, Andersen’s growth within the company from Interior Designer to Creative Design Manager to Creative Director and now Managing Director & Creative Director is a a testament to her expertise, dedication and passion for Tom Dixon Studio, as well as the company’s interest to nurture and reward its employees for its efforts.
Tom Dixon comments: “An inspirational leader, an extraordinary designer and calm under pressure, Helene’s commitment to quality is unwavering, so she was the obvious choice to slip seamlessly into the role of leading the studio and brand.”
Starting her career at Tom Dixon in 2006 as an interior designer, Anderson established Design Research Studio (DRS). Working with a variety of global clients across Product, Architecture, Interiors, Content and Graphics, she created links between DRS and Tom Dixon’s global network of design and manufacturing.
In 2008, Andersen was promoted to Creative Design Manager, working closely with founder Tom Dixon to develop a portfolio of interior projects as well as brand content, hubs, global exhibitions and events for the Tom Dixon brand.
Eight years later, Andersen became Creative Director of Tom Dixon and DRS leading the studio to deliver global projects through all scales of design and working closely with Dixon and the brand’s Product Development, Marketing, Digital, Sales and Retail teams to deliver authentic, unified and successful brand strategies.
