Rocco Forte appoints new Executive

Former President of Four Seasons EMEA, Antoine Corinthios, has been appointed Executive Advisor of Development and Operations for Rocco Forte Hotels. Corinthios will work closely with Sir Rocco Forte and Karim Naffah, managing director, to implement the group’s strategy.

In this role, Corinthios will be actively involved with the senior management team, both at head office and at the ten Rocco Forte Hotels properties across Europe. He will concentrate on developing the pipeline of new hotels, as well as enhancing the delivery of high service standards. Corinthios will join the Executive Committee and will contribute to the strategic direction and the organisation of the company.

With nearly forty years of experience in the luxury sector across a broad range of international markets, Corinthios is an established leader in hospitality. Starting with Hyatt International in 1977, he then moved to Canada to work with Four Seasons, joining the group in its infancy and helping to shape it into the company it is today. After numerous senior positions, Corinthios became President of Four Season’s EMEA region, and continued in that role until 2012. He then left Four Seasons, and set up his own hospitality advisory business.

The appointment coincides with Forte’s recent announcement of his intention to double the size of the company over the next five years. The existing ten hotels in the Rocco Forte Hotels brand are largely European based, an area where the group will ontinue to concentrate, as well as branching out to the USA, the Middle East and Asia. The first of these new properties will open late 2015 in the heart of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Corinthios commented: “I have followed the Rocco Forte Hotels brand development for many years.  I greatly admire the entrepreneurial spirit, the commitment to service and the individuality of the properties that are the hallmark of the Rocco Forte Hotels brand.”
