MHZ appoints Macadam as new Partner

Mlinaric, Henry & Zervudachi (MHZ) has announced the appointment of Laurence Macadam as new Partner, joining Tino Zervudachi, Hugh Henry and Jason Roberts to head the London office.

The appointment follows a decade at the celebrated interior design company, where Macadam honed his natural eye for harmonious composition, and demonstrated commitment to well-considered design. Macadam grew up in Kyoto and though hard to pinpoint, design references from this background show through subtly in his work.

MHZ places emphasis on understated interiors, using a collaboration of colour and style to create beautifully executed design; Macadam continues in this tradition with a particular love of materials which are not ostentatious, and are respectful of traditional craft.

MHZ was first established in 1964 by David Mlinaric and in its early years worked on important London and country houses, often in association with The National Trust. It now works globally on an extensive range of projects, ranging from private houses to galleries and hotels.

Past projects have included the Victoria & Albert Museum, Aurelio hotel in Lech and the Regent hotel in Montenegro. The company has three offices located in London, Paris and New York, which work both independently and collaboratively. The Paris and New York offices are now called Tino Zervudachi & Associes.

Laurence Macadam is currently leading a landmark architectural project for MHZ; The Glebe. The development will bring a new dimension to the London property scene and is set to pay homage to generations of artistic creativity in Chelsea via craftsmanship, design and detail.
