Dusit announces new COO
Asian hospitality group Dusit International has appointed Lim Boon Kwee as Chief Operating Officer, where he will oversee the operation of the group’s global portfolio of hotels and resorts.
Lim joined Dusit international in March 2013 as president of Dusit Fudu Hotel Management Company, Dusit’s joint venture company based in Shanghai. As COO, he is responsible for Dusit’s Hotel Business Unit at both corporate and property levels. He will direct the corporate functions in the sales and marketing, rooms, food and beverage, and engineering divisions, as well as providing support to the development team, with Dusit planning 40 hotels over the next five years.
Speaking of Lim’s appointment Suphajee Suthumpunthe, Dusit International’s CEO, comments: “We are very pleased to have him take on this new role and are confident in the continued growth and success of Dusit International under his leadership.”
Lim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Denver, Colorado, and a Masters degree in Business Administration from the Nanyang Business School of the Nanyang Technological University.
Prior to his work at Dusit, Lim was Senior Vice President of Millennium and Copthorne for Asia. His management experience spans over 30 years, and he has previously worked at companies such as The Westin, The Intercontinental, Sedona Hotels International, Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts and New World Hotels & Resorts.
