Bullied joins The Gettys Group

The Gettys Group has announced the appointment of Jeff Bullied, to the role of Principal, where he will lead the company’s Business Development efforts.

Bullied brings more than three decades of experience spanning law, sales leadership and executive management to the role. Most recently, Bullied ran his own consultancy focused exclusively on working with the design and supplier communities in the global hospitality industry, including supporting both talent acquisition and the strategic efforts of The Gettys Group’s leadership team.

He comments: “The thread that has connected all of the positions I’ve held throughout my career is my strong passion for business development and converting my network into win/win opportunities. My hope is that this will serve us well in this exciting new role.”

A native of Calgary, Bullied practiced corporate law in Canada for the first five years of his career. Drawn to the challenges and rewards of business, he left law to enter the world of Contract furnishings. There, he served in executive and sales management positions with companies including Restoration Hardware, Grohe AG and Herman Miller.

“Jeff brings years of experience, hands-on sales leadership and an impressive industry network to his new position,” said Andrew Fay, President, The Gettys Group. “We are thrilled to have him leading our Business Development team with concentrated efforts in both sales and PR/marketing to achieve sustainable growth for the company as a whole.”

His new role within The Gettys Group will encompass heading up the sales division as well as public relations and marketing responsibilities. He will work closely with Dan Welborn, Principal, on selling The Gettys Group’s portfolio of capabilities (interior design, consulting, branding and procurement), as well as with Jennifer McGregor, Senior Director, PR and Marketing, on The Gettys Group’s public relations and marketing strategy.

“I’m most excited to join The Gettys Group because it’s completely unique in the range of its service offerings,” Bullied concludes. “The firm is big and accomplished enough to be a significant player in global hospitality design, yet small enough to be agile and intimate.”
