Bell & Swift appoints new Associate Interior Designer
Glasgow-based interior design studio Bell & Swift has announced the appointment of Colin Carswell as Associate Interior Designer.
In his new role, Carswell will work alongside company directors Craig McKie and Dawn Campbell on key client accounts and strategic business development, focusing on delivering large scale hospitality projects for the firm from concept through to completion.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to have joined the team at Bell & Swift,” says Carswell. “Having worked with Dawn and Craig on previous projects, it’s great to be taking on this new challenge and getting the chance to work with the team again.
“I’ve spent the last few months working as a design consultant and so am excited to have the opportunity to work as part of a growing organisation and get back to delivering hands on design work again.”
Carswell brings a wealth of experience in hotel, bar, restaurant and branding design to the role. Prior to joining Bell & Swift, he worked as an interior designer on a project with both McKie and Campbell, and implemented Holiday Inn’s ‘Open Lobby’ concept during his time at Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) as Design Manager. While at IHG, Carswell also took charge of projects for Staybridge, Hotel Indigo, Crown Plaza and Holiday Inn Express across the UK and Europe.
“Colin’s portfolio really speaks for itself,” comments Dawn Campbell, co-founder and Managing Director of Bell & Swift. “His experience in hospitality design is hugely complementary to the existing skill set within our team, and his knowledge and understanding of the industry and internal processes is unrivalled, so we’re confident he’s going to be a great fit for the firm and for our clients.”
