When she’s not dreaming of private islands, Cohen is the co-founder and Artistic Director of Maisons Pariente, a family-run luxury hotel group based in France. When she spoke to Supper, Cohen explained that her vision for hospitality centres around “family values, generosity and anticipation.”

Larah Moravek led the design of Hotel Marcel, featured in issue 103. The property is the first net-zero hotel in the US, with Moravek and her team reimagining a Brutalist building as a Bauhaus-inspired retreat with sustainability at its core.

Verena Haller, Chief Design Officer at The Standard Hotels

Having directed the design of The Standard London, which won five awards at AHEAD Europe 2020, Verena Haller provided insight on the design of The Standard, Bangkok Mahanakhon in issue 105. “There shouldn’t just be one aspect of the design that guests love or are inspired by,” she explained. “One informs the other, it needs to be a symphony – only then have we succeeded.”
