AHEAD Americas 2020 winners revealed

The winners of AHEAD Americas 2020 have been revealed as part of an online ceremony celebrating the region’s best new hospitality experiences and designs.

Held in association with global founding partner Grohe, this year’s entirely digital programme can be viewed in full here, and includes winner announcements alongside a series of Head-to-Head panel discussions with judges.

Taking home three awards including the prestigious AHEAD Americas Hotel of the Year statue, Santa Monica Proper Hotel was the night’s big winner, scooping further prizes for Guestrooms and Lobby & Public Spaces.

The diverse list of winners also recognised ambitious projects like the reimagining of Hawaii’s Mauna Lani by Meyer Davis; the skilful conversion of a pair of historic structures for Grupo Habita’s Escondido Oaxaca; and San Morello, the restaurant within luxury goods brand Shinola’s eponymous debut hotel.
