The Annual Hotel Conference unveils 2022 programme
The Annual Hotel Conference (AHC) has provided a first glance at its 2022 programme, with the aim of guiding delegates through ‘choppy waters’ caused by inflation, supply chain issues, staffing and other challenges.
Returning to Manchester’s Central Convention Complex on 3-4 October, the event will comprise sessions, featuring more than 90 industry-leading speakers and delivered as keynotes, panel discussions and one-to-ones, covering pertinent topics across four stages: Vision, Collaboration, Innovation and Transformation.
In Economic Outlook: Navigating Choppy Waters, a panel will question how the economy is expected to perform and what the impact will be on consumer and business spend with higher interest rates, record inflation, a tight labour market and geopolitical pressures.
A deeper dive will also be taken into hotel performance forecasts, forward booking trends, P&L and the supply evolution in Crunching the Numbers: The Business of Hotels in 2022 and Beyond.
ESG, design, staffing and the social and economic impact of hotels are among the other topics being discussed as part of the AHC’s full programme which will be delivered across two days.
Alongside its dynamic education sessions, the AHC gives the brightest in UK hospitality the chance to come together to share visions for the future and network, connecting those with capital to those seeking it.
“Since the pandemic, the hotel industry has been working towards a ‘new normal’, but the feeling of normality remains elusive,” says Joe Stather, new Market Lead for Questex’s Operational Real Estate portfolio. “What has become clear is that the industry is having to continually revaluate, adapt and innovate to navigate the uncertainty, hence why this year’s Annual Hotel Conference programme has been specifically designed to help delegates ‘chart the course’ for success.”
