Salone del Mobile Shanghai returns
The second edition of Salone del Mobile Milano Shanghai will be held from 23-25 November 2017 at Shanghai Exhibition Center.
Building on the success of its inaugural event in 2016, the event is set to feature an increased display area featuring more than 100 Italian brands displaying their best designs. Salone del Mobile Milano Shanghai with gather together leading Chinese architects, interior designers, importers, dealers, developers and professionals in the furniture and design industry, allowing them to experience the excellence of Italian furniture in China.
“China represents a major development area for the Salone del Mobile,” comments Claudio Luti, President of Salone del Mobile Milano. “Every year, many Chinese operators visit the show in Milan, but having a presence in Shanghai unquestionably offers new possibilities of partnership and business development between Italian companies and the Chinese market.”
Combining Milan with Shanghai, the event’s new branding and visual graphic evocatively emphasises both the single identities of the countries, as well as the harmonic encounter of the two cultures, thus conveying the nature of this international show.
Luti continues: “We believe that this is a real opportunity for the selected top Italian companies to meet Chinese architects, designers and industry operators. We have developed a rich programme that features the presence of Italian renowned designers who, together with the brands participating in the show, can introduce charm, history and value of the Italian products to the visitors, allowing them to experience the world of Made in Italy. The goal is to bring to China the emotions and innovations that represent the essence of Salone del Mobile Milano.
Among the companies already confirmed for the exhibition are: Angelo Cappellini & C, Antonio Lupi Design, Artemide, B&B Italia, Baxter, Foscarini, Kartell and Moroso, Organisers will also focus increasingly on the quality of visitors in order to create concrete opportunities for business.
Also in 2017, Master Classes and SaloneSatellite will take place during the show. Master Classes will feature a three-day educational programme, functioning as an interaction between the two cultures. Meanwhile, SaloneSatellite is dedicated to designers under 35 years old, aiming to encourage the creativity of the new generations.
