IHIF announces return of Adjacent Spaces
The International Hospitality Investment Forum has confirmed that Adjacent Spaces, its think-tank for hospitality innovators and game-changers, will return for a second year alongside the conference in Berlin.
Taking place at The Pullman Hotel Berlin Schweizerhof on Wednesday 4 May 2022, Adjacent Spaces will explore investment beyond the hotel room, discussing the opportunities presented to the industry by adjacent concepts such as co-living, co-working, student accommodation, serviced apartments and senior living.
Those in attendance, from alternative hospitality brands, investors and brokers to consultants, designers and architects will be invited to exchange ideas, share their knowledge and help shape the future of the sector.
Speakers lined up include Brian Carrico of The Guild; Julius Meinl of Julius Meinl Living; Vonder CEO Tomer Bercoviz; Limehome co-founder and Managing Director Josef Vollmayr; Edyn CEO Stephen McCall. Alongside these hospitality trailblazers on the stage are Theo Bortoluzzi of Kerten Hospitality, Keith Evans of Ennismore; Navneet Bali, CEO of LyvInn Hotels; and Victor Fernández Cintrano, CEO of Room Mate Group.
Investors joining the discussion include Philip Ward of KSL Capital; Irene Pfeiffer of Temprano Capital; William Laxton of Mactaggart Family & Partners; Lambros Reppas of Corestate Capital Advisors; Natalia Kolotneva from LaSalle Investment Management; and Kristian Smyth of Tristan Capital Partners.
This year’s carefully curated programme will kick off with a session titled Power Players – Igniting the Next Stage, which will highlight the business models currently shaking up the market and look at how leaders are approaching business post-pandemic and their approach to overcoming hospitality’s biggest challenges.
The agenda will also tackle hybrid hospitality investment, explore trends and opportunities in senior living and wellness hospitality and look at the future of serviced apartments, student accommodation and co-living.
“We are excited to bring back Adjacent Spaces for the second year due to popular demand,” says Alexi Khajavi, Group President at Questex Travel and Hospitality, who will host IHIF and Adjacent Spaces. “The growth opportunities for adjacent concepts have recently been, and continue to be strong, which is why the event is particularly timely for this sector. As the global voice of authority in hospitality investment, it’s vital that we lead the way in exploring shifting trends and changing investment habits outside the hotel room.”
