Downtown Design, taking place between 8-12 November, will return to its purpose-built venue at the d3 Waterfront, offering international and regional design brands a unique platform to access creative and commercial opportunities in the MENA region and beyond.
A commercial highlight of Dubai Design Week, Downtown Design attracts a top-tier industry audience including architects, interior designers, specifiers, hoteliers and developers, as well as HNWIs and public visitors from the Middle East, Africa, South Asia and beyond.
The eighth edition of the region’s leading fair for contemporary and high-quality design will present dedicated sections across key industry sectors – Furniture, Lighting, Kitchens & Bathrooms, Materials & Finishes, Accessories & Soft Furnishings – featuring the latest collections by international and regional brands, alongside country pavilions that will promote their native design talent to the Middle East.
Downtown Editions, the fair’s boutique showcase for limited-edition and bespoke design, will offer a new generation of independent designers, collectives and studios a platform to get discovered and embark on the next phase of their career growth.
From conceptual scenographies by regional architects and interior designers that will offer visitors an opportunity to explore emerging trends to Downtown Design’s talks series that will feature global industry opinion leaders, the exhibition will be complemented with an extensive collateral programme attracting B2B as well as B2C audiences.
Meanwhile, the fair’s dedicated trade platform, Connect, will offer both design professionals and brands the opportunity to raise their profile and make meaningful relationships.
Hosting over 19,000 visitors including the region’s top design firms, industry decision-makers and influencers, Downtown Design 2019 showcased over 200 international and regional brands from over 30 countries. In 2020, Downtown Design presented a hybrid programme with digital and onsite activations during Dubai Design Week.
With this year’s exhibition, Downtown Design continues to serve as a conduit for the region’s rapidly evolving design industry, connecting brands with buyers and helping the industry navigate the opportunities and challenges presented by the new world.
