Abitare il Tempo 2014 to become year-long event
With the main fair taking place from 24-27 September, Abitare il Tempo 2014 is an exhibition concept with special emphasis on tailor-made projects, training and b2b events wherein the trade fair provides its services to exhibitors not only during the show, but throughout the year via workshops, seminars and meetings with international operators.
Dedicated to interior design, the fair will host a qualified selection of producers spanning the entire furniture sector to include classic, modern and contemporary tastes. The 2014 edition will further expand Abitare il Tempo, integrating updates, research, training and cultural exchanges focusing on furniture, architecture and interior design.
The four-day show will host conference cycles analysing various topics related to architecture and the design world, from purely technical meetings to those orientated towards distribution through to topics focusing on decoration and interior furnishings.
As well as exhibitions, the cultural programme will also feature experiments and shows, some of which are in cooperation with Marmomacc. Synergy with Marmomacc gave rise to At Home, curated by designer Giuseppe Vigano, which presents the potential of stone in relation to furnishing and interiors projects in the contract world. The Luxury & Relax Living project, designed by architect Massimiliano Caviasca, similarly aims to highlight the use of stone but for well-being and relaxation.
Abitare il Tempo, in conjunction with Marmomacc, will be the setting for the From Nature to Design competition, conceived by Marmi Bruno Zanet. Lastly, the event will collaborate with the Also Morelato Foundation by supporting the Significant Furniture – The Values and Meanings of Furniture project, aiming to encourage the production of quality furniture in the Verona area on an international scale.
