100% Design announces talks programme

100% Design has revealed details of its Talks with 100% Design programme for 2018, which will reflect on the changing landscape of London’s creative communities.

The series of talks will be held at two dedicated spaces, The Forum and the Auditorium, with the latter to be designed by emerging London architecture practice Projects Office.

On the agenda, Thomas Heatherwick will discuss the vision for Olympia London with Max Fraser, alongside Yoo Chairman John Hitchcox, Trevor Morris from SPAARC Architecture and Heatherwick Studio’s Eliot Postma.

Elsewhere, Dezeen and Yoo will host a live session with Yoo Creative Directors Kelly Hoppen and Marcel Wanders, together with Yoo Chairman John Hitchcox, while Republic of Fritz Hansen’s Head of Design, Christian Andresen, delves into his work in developing the Fritz Hansen collection and will be joined by Studio Roso – the latest addition to the Fritz Hansen family.

A talk with London-based designer Yinka Illori is also set to explore his work and inspiration, notably with unwanted furniture in which he takes cues from traditional Nigerian parables and African fabrics that surrounded him during childhood.

As the designer behind an installation at the CitizenM Shoreditch during last year’s London Design Festival, Ilori will further discuss his current projects and future plans, including Colour Palace – a collaboration with Pricegore Architects for the Dulwich Picture Gallery pavilion.
