Robert De Niro amongst those developing new Caribbean Nobu outpost
Plans have been unveiled to open a new Nobu resort on Barbuda’s southwest coast, slated to open in early 2026.
The project, conceived by Robert De Niro, Daniel Shamoon and James Packer, centres around an ethos of ecologically sensitive development, aligning with Barbuda’s rich tradition of respecting nature.
Designed to offer seclusion and personalised service, Nobu Beach Inn will comprise a total of 36 guestrooms across 17 bungalow cottages, as well as real estate offerings and several restaurants – including a Nobu outpost.
The resort’s design focuses on emphasising natural materials and low-density construction to blend seamlessly with the surrounding Caribbean landscape.
Amenities are set to include a beachfront spa, open-air gym and yoga facilities, while the resort will offer bespoke experiences curated by dedicated hosts, including sailing expeditions, secluded picnics and marine biology sessions.
Pre-sales are underway for 25 beachfront Hotel Villa lots, with buyers able to choose between interior design finishes, and a range of furniture options.
