Fallow House opens at Estelle Manor
Fallow House has opened its doors at Oxfordshire’s Estelle Manor, bringing 540m² of dedicated events space to the property.
Located in the centre of the 85-acre estate, between the Manor House and Eynsham Baths spa, the house has been created to host a range of events. Set over two floors and ideal for larger groups of up to 100 people, the space comprises an arrival hall, three meeting areas, two bars and a double-height Grand Room.
Interior design across the spaces see Flemish-inspired tranquillity meeting contemporary sophistication, drawing inspiration from the aesthetics of Vincent Van Duysen, as well as the raw designs of Axel Vervoordt.
The 99m² Grand Room – The Chestnut – features a double-height vaulted ceiling with textured pendant lighting falling from traditional beams. Lined with windows on three of four walls, natural light abounds to bring the clean and neutral colour palette to life. A custom tapestry above the fireplace reveals a 2.4 x 3.9m screen. The open fireplace at the head creates a cosy, homely feel to ground the space, which is suited to either a seated dinner or standing cocktail party.
Elsewhere, the Owlett Bar is a minimalist space crafted with raw, natural materials and layered with antique pieces, seamlessly blended to create a timeless sense of sophistication. Sheepskin upholstered stools offset a six-metre-long charcoal timber bar, while a selection of oversized plants create a homely atmosphere.
Ground floor meeting room The Buckthorn offers direct access to the garden, with light streaming through crittall French doors. Again, natural materials combined with custom charcoal timber joinery envelop the room.
Hosting up to 35 guests, The Fawn is ideal for smaller parties or dinners. With double aspect windows and low-level panelling, the room has a soft and residential feel. The Wren meanwhile is suited to a more intimate occasion – the smallest room on offer, complete with tactile drapery and wooden panelling.
Set next to Fallow House’s private garden, The Tawny Bar is a wabi sabi-inspired space complete with woven sisal cladding that add texture and depth alongside a distressed charcoal timber bar.
