Meliá pays homage to fine arts at Casa de las Artes
Casa de las Artes Meliá Collection has opened its doors in Madrid’s literary heart, paying homage to the fine arts through its design.
Located in Barrio de las Letras, the opening marks the arrival of The Meliá Collection brand to the Iberian Peninsula.
The property’s design is courtesy of Álvaro and Adriana Sans of studio Asah, in collaboration with Meliá Hotels International. The duo’s designs draw inspiration from Miguel de Cervantes, revered as a great Spanish novelist, poet and playwright, and one of the neighbourhood’s most illustrious residents.
As well as its rooms and suites, Casa de las Artes comprises a cinema room inspired by the classic Hollywood screening rooms of the 1950s, a cosy library, thermal spa and a fitness centre complete with a ballet barre.
Also located on-site is a restaurant, named Maché. Situated in the historic Spanish Railways Association building, the venue offers a fusion of culinary delights and live entertainment, with a backdrop of stained-glass windows and lofty ceilings.
