The Leinster Guestroom

Inside The Leinster, Dublin

Lifestyle hotel The Leinster has opened its doors in Dublin, located just off the city’s vibrant Merrion Square.

Envisioned by Dublin’s ODAAHenchion Reuter Architects and interior design firm O’Donnell O’Neill Design, the property comprises 55 playful guestrooms and suites. The building’s classic architectural exterior has been paired with interiors that showcase bold modern patterns, tactile materials and captivating marble veining, creating a mixture of traditional and contemporary styles.

The Leinster Guestroom

Guestrooms are a combination of lavish velvets, detailed cabinetry and bold colour, all elegantly paired with graphic patterns to create a balanced harmony. Botanical flourishes can be found on the headboards, styled alongside cherry red sofas and tasselled bedside lamps. Brooks & Co toiletries find home alongside Dyson hairdryers, while bathrooms are clad in deep grey tiles and complete with copper bathtubs in the property’s suites.

Art is also a focal point at The Leinster, with guestroom walls transformed into canvases and halls into galleries, thanks to works by artists from Ireland and abroad. Over 300 curated pieces of original painted art from more than 80 artists are dotted around the hotel, reflecting Ireland’s growing and dynamic contemporary art scene. Damien Hirst’s H10-1 Wu Zetian piece meanwhile makes an appearance, greeting guests at reception.

The Leinster Restaurant

The hotel’s rooftop restaurant, Jean-Georges at The Leinster, has been curated by acclaimed chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, marking his first foray into Ireland. Additionally, the property’s bar, The Collins Club, showcases a meticulously curated drinks menu to a backdrop inspired by Georgian glamour, with dimmed lighting, ceilings adorned with decadent details, and a crimson-drenched bar.

Bryan Davern, Director of Hotels at Press Up Hospitality Group, comments: “As a team, we are so excited to open The Leinster today. The hotel unveils a brand new, exciting offering to Dubin’s hospitality scene, adding vibrancy and intrigue to Merrion Square and inviting guests for the perfect city escape or dining experience at the acclaimed, and highly anticipated, Jean-Georges at The Leinster. We look forward to welcoming our guests and friends to a hotel like no other.”
