Domes to debut in Santorini
Greek lifestyle hospitality brand Domes has announced its upcoming debut on the island of Santorini.
Domes Novos Santorini will open its doors in April 2024, comprising 50 suites and two villas, each with their own private pool. Located on the island’s north-western corner in the Tholos region, the hotel sits back from the coastline, intended to encourage connection with the local community and environment.
Kiros Pagkalidis Architects has fused Cycladic luxury with a sustainable approach, using local materials including volcanic stone and blonde oak to design a neutral palette of terracotta, fresh whites and ashy greys, punctuated with indoor/outdoor spaces for a bright and open ambience. Designer Olivia Siskou is at the helm of interiors, adding local touches to the property, whilst Fytron Landscapes has worked with George Petsagkourakis to design the landscape of the property.
The hotel will be home to Vatanee, a new restaurant led by visionary and Head Chef Dionysis Anastopoulos, who will serve up dishes inspired by Greek tradition, the land and the sea.
As with all Domes’ properties, wellness is a central component, embodied through the Soma Spa, which fuses traditional Greek spa rituals with contemporary methods and volcanic-infused treatments, as well as a gym and underground pool.
