Experimental Group shares first look at three new European hotels
Experimental Group has announced details of three European hotel projects in the pipeline, in Val d’Isère, Rome and Paris.
Currently slated for opening in winter 2024, Aigle des Neiges is a 110-room hotel in the heart of the village of Val d’Isère, designed by Dorothée Meilichzon. Positioned at an altitude of 1850m, the new opening will also comprise two restaurants, a bar, swimming pool and spa.
“After the success of Experimental Châlet Verbier, we wanted a property in the French Alps,” says Pierre-Charles Cros, co-founder of Experimental Group. “Our search was for something very close to the slopes, yet at the same time in the centre of the resort which has an incredible ambiance – we found the ideal location for the Experimental Châlet Val d’Isère.”
The group has also signed a management contract with Foncière Saint Honoré to launch a new 43-room hotel in Paris in 2025. Located in the heart of the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district in the seventh arrondissement, the hotel will be designed by Studio KO, and will comprise 20 rooms and 23 suites, a restaurant, two bars, a spa and an indoor swimming pool.
Experimental Group’s entry into Rome – also set for 2025 – will see the transformation of an office building into a 78-key hotel, with design led by Rodolphe Parente. The property will offer a range of additional amenities, including a restaurant under a glass roof, an Experimental Cocktail Club Roma bar, and a rooftop swimming pool overlooking the city.
