Folk announces short stays at Battersea site
Co-living brand Folk is launching short stays at its third site in London, Florence Dock in Battersea. Located riverside in SW11 just a ten-minute walk from both Clapham Junction and Wandsworth Town stations, the building will offer stays from one to 89 nights.
Florence Dock comprises 270 private studios along with co-working space, high-spec community kitchens, a gym, cinema room, gaming room, lounge and on-site bar, of which all short-stay residents can access alongside longer term renters.
The building is the third in Folk’s co-living portfolio in the capital and has been cleverly designed around the brand’s key pillars of community and connection, encouraging social interaction and the formation of new friendships and relationships.
Folk has conducted extensive research with renters and taken learnings from its first co-living spaces in Harrow and Earlsfield to design the Battersea building. The group is continuing to disrupt the rental market by eradicating the traditional pain points tenants face such as run-down accommodation, lack of outdoor or working-from-home space and the rising cost of bills.
Folk allows residents to have their own studio apartment, whilst getting access to all events and communal areas and covering all bills, removing the worry of rising costs which many are facing in the current climate. The short-stay availability will enable the public to experience co-living, including all the shared spaces and events programme, on a short-term basis with no contract.
