Italian Villa Giara completed after five-year restoration project
Villa Giara, a 10-bedroom guesthouse in Italy’s Piedmont region, has opened following a five-year farmhouse restoration project. The process was led by former Versace Chief Marketing Officer, Stephen Croncota and his partner, designer Ricardo Baptista Fernandes.
Perched atop a mountain near the Italian town of Calosso, Villa Giara is surrounded by vineyard-lined hills. The property comprises two former farmhouses and gardens, as well as a yoga deck and pool with views of the valley.
The hotel’s 10 bedrooms have been filled with artwork, textiles and antiques hand-picked by Croncota and Baptista Fernandes, while Italian artisanship is celebrated throughout. All guestrooms offer vineyard and mountain views, or look out onto the hilltop town of Calosso, via French doors, a balcony or terrace.
Villa Giara’s Limonaia room is a daily breakfast setting, while daily aperitivos and antipasti are available on the hotel’s terrace.
Restoration work on a separate outbuilding at the base of the property’s hill is almost complete, and is set to provide further accommodation for up to four adults.
