Marriott’s AC Hotels heads to Malta
AC Hotels by Marriott is expanding its European footprint with the opening of its first hotel in Malta. Owned and managed by The Ona Hospitality Ltd, AC Hotel by Marriott St Julian’s finds home in the heart of the coastal town of St Julian’s, spotlighting designs by Italian-based Fabris & Partners.
Sleek and simplistic, a traditional neutral Maltese colour scheme runs through the hotel’s spaces – including its 106 guestrooms and suites – taking inspiration from the natural and urban environment around the hotel and evoking a strong connection to the locale.
The new AC Hotels opening will feature the brand’s signature AC Lounge on the rooftop terrace, serving up drinks and European tapas alongside views of the the St Julian’s skyline. Additional facilities within the hotel include a heated outdoor rooftop pool, indoor pool, meeting space with capacity for up to 40 people, and a Matrix-equipped gym.
“We are delighted to be bringing AC Hotels’ design-driven guest experience to Malta,” says Sandra Schulze-Potgieter, Vice President, Premium & Select Brands, Europe, Middle East & Africa. “The hotel marks Marriott Bonvoy’s third property in this vibrant Mediterranean island destination.”
