Kaldewei and Studio Aisslinger have revealed their collaboration on an innovative new bathroom drainage system. FlowLine Crystal and FlowLine Zero are the latest additions to Kaldewei’s new line of shower drains, designed to maximise efficiency in bathrooms. The principle at the heart of these new products and of the company’s creative ethos is flow – the force upon which effective sanitaryware depends.

Seeking to respond to the wide-spanning problems that ineffective draining in bathrooms can cause, the two brands have collaborated in a bid to set a new industry standard, based around merging luxury and sustainability. The new designs centre around the idea that optimal elevation, guided via precision-engineered channels and technically innovative design, can make bathroom facilities more manageable and directional.

Working in collaboration with Studio Aisslinger, the Berlin-and-Singapore-based consultancy founded in 1993 by Werner Aisslinger, Kaldewei’s engineers have developed an opening mechanism that can be loosened and removed with just one movement, without the need for additional tools, allowing for quick and easy cleaning and user-friendly servicing. Kaldewei supplies the entire system, made with recycled materials, ready for underfloor installation, with all waste fittings and components included.
