Ella Bridgland launches Studio Ella
British interior architect and designer Ella Bridgland has launched Studio Ella. Based in Hong Kong but with a global reach, the studio will offer services in interior architecture, bespoke design and art consultation.
Before founding the studio, Bridgland worked in London for prestigious practices John McAslan + Partners, Tom Dixon and Studio Ashby. After relocating to Hong Kong in 2017, she led the studio as an Associate for one of Asia’s top design firms, Joyce Wang Studio.
“Studying architecture was a natural progression from my creative upbringing, where experimental play and practical problem solving were a part of my everyday,” says Bridgland. “For me, art and space are interrelated and share many similar components. I am fascinated by the power of both, and their profound impact on us physically and emotionally. Over the past few years, our personal environments have never been inhabited to such a degree and forced to function so extensively. Such prolonged lengths of time in one place have heightened our awareness of our surroundings’ impact and sparked a desire to improve them. There is also a desire to celebrate and enjoy life outside these personal walls, resulting in a lust for a new, inspiring restaurant and bar scene. Consequently, I believe there has never been a more critical and exciting time to provide our services.”
Bridgland continues: “Establishing my own studio has always been a dream of mine. I am grateful for the support from peers, mentors, and the experience I have gained from the esteemed designers I’ve been privileged to have worked with. I am so thrilled to embark upon this next chapter and excited about the prospects ahead.”
With over a decade of experience, Bridgland has worked with clients such as Knight Dragon; Maybourne Hotel Group; Accor; Native Land; Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group; Chow Tai Fook; Black Sheep Restaurant Group; Dining Concepts; Westbank; Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas; Hyatt; Virgin Atlantic; Galaxy Entertainment Group; Jackalope Group; and many more private clients.
