Pendry Hotels & Resorts has opened Pendry Park City, its first year-round mountain resort located in Utah’s Canyons Village. Marking the sixth addition to the brand’s portfolio, the 153-room retreat is a collaboration between real estate developers Columbus Pacific, SB Architects and interior design firm KES Studio.
“We’ve fused the sophisticated energy, inspired design and vibrancy that Pendry is known for with the alpine warmth and fiercely local tradition that is Park City,” says co-founder and Creative Director Michael Fuerstman. “We are honoured to bring our brand to Park City and help define the new Canyons Village.”
Championing a contemporary alpine aesthetic, the property houses four lounge, restaurant and bar experiences. Signature dining destination Kita serves a menu of Japanese seafood, sourced from sustainable local and Japanese fisheries and flown in nightly, while Disco Pizza pairs classic red sauce favourites and comfort food with cocktails, brews, games and a disco ball for after dark. Elevating the art of the aprés lifestyle meanwhile, Aprés Pendry is a European-inspired lobby lounge offering cocktails, beer and wine along with shareable plates in a cosy slopeside setting. And up on the roof, the first and only rooftop pool and lounge in Park City combines unobstructed mountain views with an all-dining menu classic American fare.
On the wellness front, a full-service spa comprises six private treatment rooms each offering a menu of bespoke beauty and body treatments, while a fitness features Technogym equipment, Peloton bikes and Tonal training apparatus. There’s also access to Compass Sports, a programme that provides on-site ski and snowboard rentals for the winter, as well as hiking and biking information and rentals for the summer.
Thanks to the ski-in/ski-out nature of the design, the resort and residences provide guests with unparalleled access to the largest mountain in the nation, which boasts more than 7,300 acres of skiable terrain. And for après-ski gatherings, meeting and event spaces include a 5,600ft² ballroom and a 1,650ft² outdoor terrace.
Alan J. Fuerstman, founder, Chairman and CEO of Montage International, comments: “Pendry Park City is a true year-round destination, bringing outdoor pursuits, world-class dining, art, wellness and entertainment to guests, residents and the local community. We are incredibly proud to debut Pendry’s first resort in one of our favourite mountain destinations and look forward to showcasing all that the Pendry brand has to offer.”
