Sircle Collection has unveiled plans to open two new Sir Hotels in Berlin and Lisbon within the next two years.
The announcement comes as the Amsterdam-based group celebrates 10 years of operating across Europe – and takes the portfolio of hotels to 15, in addition to restaurants, bars, spas, art studios, concept stores and The Sircle private members club.
Sircle Collection was founded in 2011 and encompasses three distinct hotel brands – all united by a love for design and lifestyle – Sir Hotels, Max Brown and Park Centraal Hotels.
Sir Hotels was founded with the Sir Albert, located in a former diamond factory in the popular De Pijp area of Amsterdam. Today there are six hotels throughout Amsterdam, Berlin, Ibiza, Hamburg, and Barcelona, all reflecting the ethos of their surrounding areas through elements such as art, literature, and food. They combine contemporary, design-led interiors with nostalgic details to create inspiring spaces, sympathetic to their local environments and inviting for travellers who want to experience local creative living.
Sir Frankie in Berlin will be the largest Sir Hotel to date, with a restaurant, outdoor pool, 250m2 spa and gym, co-working area, meeting and events space and long-stay apartments all under one roof. Designed by well-known Berlin based designer, Werner Aisslinger, Sir Frankie will also be home to The Sircle private member’s club.
The Sircle club was an innovative response to the Covid-19 Pandemic. Recognising a new need for a sense of community, focus on well-being and a home-from-home co-working space, the club was introduced at the Sir Victor in Barcelona in June 2021 and will be a key feature in the new hotels, as well as being added to additional sites in Amsterdam and Vienna in 2022.
The as-yet-unnamed Sir Hotel in Lisbon is being designed by renowned Spanish architect and designer, Lazaro Rosa-Violan, and is located in the Bairro Alto region of Lisbon. It will feature guestrooms with garden areas, restaurant, bar, and lounge, and will also feature The Sircle club for local members.
“The main goal of our hotels is to bring people together in beautiful spaces to create unforgettable memories,” says Liran Wizman, Founder of Sircle Collection. “As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, we are looking to the future of hospitality, venturing into new regions, and embracing our most ambitious projects to date.
“The new Sir properties are perfect additions and we’re delighted to see our concept brought to life in a new location, Lisbon, which is a vibrant city with rich history, fascinating culture and great food and drink. Expanding in Berlin is an exciting move for us too as we’ve had a hotel there for many years, and have a great fondness for the city.”
