Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts to enter Los Angeles in 2025
Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts has unveiled plans to open a new luxury resort in Los Angeles in 2025.
The announcement follows the news that the brand’s first U.S hotel will debut in Miami Beach in 2024, fulfilling the group’s plans to double its portfolio within the next four years.
Set amongst the Santa Monica Mountains, The Bvlgari Resort Los Angeles will be nestled in 33 acres of hillside woodland. Plans comprise a 58-key property featuring guestrooms and suites located in secluded bungalows adjacent to the resort’s amenities, including a signature Bvlgari II Ristorante Niko Romito, a state-of-the-art gym offering Bvlgari’s acclaimed Workshop workouts, a 10,000ft2 spa, a cinema and an exclusive eight-seat sushi bar.
The site will also house eight private estates that will be available to purchase, featuring residential properties ranging from 12,000 to 48,000ft2, each with one to five acres of land.
The resort’s contemporary architecture, curated by South African design firm Studio SAOTA, will draw upon both the vast open space and the privacy provided by the surrounding canyons, creating a sense of exclusivity. Additionally, Milanese architectural firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, responsible for the Italian design of all previous Bvlgari Hotels’ projects, will conceive the resort’s interiors.
With help from Swiss landscape architectural firm ENEA, known for its design of the Bvlgari Hotel Beijing garden, the project intends to create an integrated, environmentally sensitive development that preserves the area’s ridgeline and natural flora. The construction will be in line with LEED’s stringent environmental criteria, demanding use of only the most sustainable building practices to minimise any environmental impact.
“We are extremely happy and proud to announce the signing of definitive agreements to develop the new Bvlgari Resort in Los Angeles, the capital of cinema and art which has always been a major Bvlgari inspiration,” notes Bvlgari’s CEO, Jean-Christophe Babin. “The new Bvlgari gem represents an extraordinary achievement for the brand to establish in such a key destination for the luxury industry.”
“We are delighted to partner with Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts to bring the most sophisticated and luxurious retreat to Los Angeles,” comments Gary Safady, owner and developer of The Bvlgari Resort Los Angeles. “Bvlgari is the epitome of luxury lifestyle and we look forward to creating an unparalleled experience of indoor/outdoor living through our enclave of suites, bungalows and private homes that truly embrace and support the surrounding environment and wildlife.”
Safady continues: “As part of our ongoing commitment to the City of Los Angeles, the surrounding community and the environment, we will be supporting several non-profit initiatives in Los Angeles, including but not limited to, a seven-figure contribution as part of our effort to ensure this project continues its focus of using business as a force for good.”
