Wyndham unveils new all-inclusive resort brand
Marking the 22nd venture in its portfolio, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has launched its first all-inclusive resort brand, Wyndham Alltra.
Joining forces with all-inclusive hotel owner, operator and developer, Playa Hotels & Resorts, the new brand marks the first of many developments in partnership with Playa across Mexico and the Caribbean. Their first two beachfront resorts, Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen and Wyndham Alltra Cancun, are currently undergoing renovation and are scheduled for completion in December 2021.
The brand’s name ‘Alltra’ signifies its promise to provide ‘all-inclusive travel for all’, aligning with Wyndham’s mission of delivering exceptional experiences to the everyday traveller amidst current luxury options. Featuring both family-friendly and adult-only resorts, the brand’s all-inclusive experiences will offer upscale dining, services and amenities at exceptional value, distinctive of the upper-midscale sector.
Situated near ancient Mayan ruins and just minutes away from lively downtown Cancun, Wyndham Alltra Cancun comprises 458 guestrooms and suites with terraces overlooking the Caribbean Sea, as well as 10 restaurants, bars and lounges. There are also multiple swimming pools, a fitness centre and a spa, offering a host of complimentary activities such as yoga classes and hydrotherapy.
The second of the resorts to be announced, Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen, is located along the idyllic Riviera Maya, just steps away from 5th Avenue in the heart of Playa del Carmen. As an adult-only resort, guests will gain access to unlimited gourmet dining options and state-of-the-art health and wellness facilities ranging from an Olympic-size swimming pool to a spa and salon. Each of the resort’s 287 guestrooms and suites include adjoining private balconies where guests can enjoy live nightly entertainment set against a backdrop of sea views.
In conjunction with the brand’s launch, Wyndham embarks upon this new alliance in the hopes that Playa’s expertise in all-inclusive experiences will reach more first-time all-inclusive guests.
“Today’s announcement combines Wyndham’s robust distribution capabilities and award-winning loyalty program with our highly acclaimed all-inclusive expertise”, comments Bruce Wardinski, Chairman and CEO, Playa Hotels & Resorts. “Together, we are launching a new experience in the upper-midscale resort segment to reach more first-time all-inclusive guests.”
“Wyndham Alltra will introduce many of our over 150 million annual guests to our first all-inclusive brand,” explains Geoffrey A. Ballotti, President and CEO of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. “Partnering with a leading owner, operator and developer of all-inclusive resorts in prime beachfront locations, will create immediate access for our customers and our over 80 million Wyndham Rewards members to a fabulous, all-inclusive guest experience – members who will be able to redeem their Wyndham Rewards points for a new all-inclusive vacation experience at Wyndham Alltra resorts, and earn points for their stays.”
