The Hotel Show confirms Poland as its Supporting Country Partner
The Hotel Show has unveiled Poland as Supporting Country Partner for its 2021 edition, taking place live and in-person from 31 May to 2 June at Dubai World Trade Centre under the theme ‘Redefining Hospitality’.
Set to enhance business and trade relations between Poland and UAE, the partnership involves the support of the Polish Ministry of Economic Development, Labour and Technology, the Polish Chamber of Commerce and Pomorskie Voivodeship. Together, they will play a key role in bringing the latest Polish products, services, technologies and hospitality suppliers to the UAE, to be showcased at The Hotel Show’s Polish Pavilion.
The Republic of Poland’s Ministry of Economic Development, Labour and Technology conducts a variety of activities aimed at improving enterprise competitiveness, promoting native products and boosting the image of Poland’s economy – the fastest growing in Europe over the last two decades – around the world.
“Participation at The Hotel Show, amongst other important trade fairs in the UAE, is part of a wider economic programme accompanying our involvement at Expo 2020 later this year,” says Robert Tomanek, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Economic Development, Labour and Technology. “Its main goal is to promote Polish companies and strengthen their business relations with partners in the Middle East.”
The Polish Chamber of Commerce, Poland’s largest independent business association, brings together nearly 160 companies to assist entrepreneurs in their international market activities and promote Polish exports by organising promotional activities abroad. These include trade fairs, economic missions and forums, dedicated events and B2B meetings hosted by local partners all over the world, including the Gulf Cooperation Council.
Marek Kłoczko, Vice President, Director General, Polish Chamber of Commerce, adds: “The Polish Chamber of Commerce has a longstanding partnership with the UAE and we hope that these relations will intensify further given our participation at The Hotel Show and Expo 2020, in which we are involved as a partner.”
The Polish Pavilion will also showcase Pomorskie Voivodeship, one of Europe’s fastest growing regions thanks to its talent pool and diversified economy. Its centre, Tricity, recently ranked in the top five for foreign direct investment strategy in the FDI Global Cities of the Future (2021/2022). The cities were rated on economic potential, business friendliness, human capital, lifestyle, connectivity and cost-effectiveness.
Participants include MK Business Link; a business management consultancy focused on establishing professional relations between Europe and the Middle East through a mix of knowledge, understanding of both cultures, and extensive research into specific regions and environments. The company will share the stand with the Polish Chamber of Commerce. As the official Polish representative of The Hotel Show, MK Business Link will provide significant opportunities for business exchange developments with the GCC.
Małgorzata Panek-Kasinska, CEO of MK Business Link, comments: “We are very excited about becoming a part of the strategic partnership between Poland and The Hotel Show in Dubai. As one of the leading platforms bringing entrepreneurs together, we are immensely proud that more than 30 Polish companies will be represented at the pavilion this year, showcasing some of the best products the country has to offer.”
