AHEAD Europe opens for entries

AHEAD, the Awards for Hospitality Experience and Design, has opened for entries in the Europe region.

Projects eligible for participation must have opened, reopened or launched between June 2020 and May 2021. Entries are created online via the AHEAD website and entrants have until Friday 31 May to submit their work. This year, AHEAD is offering a 20% discount on all entries received before 30 April using code EUROPE2021.

An independent panel of experts – comprising leading hospitality architects, designers, owners, operators, developers and industry commentators – will be looking for projects that display exceptional design and functionality, catering to both the client and guests’ needs while demonstrating commercial viability.

The entered categories are: Bar, Club or Lounge; Event Spaces; Guestrooms; Hotel Conversion; Hotel Newbuild; Hotel Renovation & Restoration; Landscaping & Outdoor Spaces; Lobby & Public Spaces; Resort Hotel; Restaurant; Spa & Wellness; Suite; Transport; and Visual Identity. Other awards include New Concept and the prestigious AHEAD Europe Hotel of the Year, the winners of which are selected by the judging panel.

Winners will be announced at the AHEAD Europe ceremony, taking place on Friday 19 November at Evolution in London. The results will also be published across AHEAD and Sleeper and will feature in our digital media partner’s website and newsletter, Dezeen Daily. AHEAD covers four regions: Asia, Americas, MEA and Europe. An annual awards scheme will take place in each region throughout 2021 and 2022, before culminating in an AHEAD Global event in late 2022, which will see the winners of the eight regional heats compete head-to-head to decide a series of worldwide champions.
