Park Hotel Group has announced the opening of Park Hotel Kyoto, heralding the Group’s debut on the main island “Honshu”, Japan. Located on Oike Street, one of the major streets at the centre of Kyoto city, Park Hotel Kyoto is jointly owned by Park Hotel Group and Apricot Capital.
The nine-storey hotel offers 112 guest rooms and two suites with contemporary interiors bearing elements of traditional Japanese aesthetic and handmade arts and crafts from Kyoto.
The modern guest rooms and suites feature light wood and neutral-hued furnishings, as well as mood lighting. The hotel offers five room categories to cater to different traveling needs: Superior Twin Room, Standard Double Room, Deluxe Twin Room, Park Suite and Oike Suite.
The Park Suite is bright, airy and spacious with dining and sofa areas. The suite also offers exclusive access to the hotel’s rooftop garden with panoramic views of the surrounding area. The Oike Suite offers views of the main street from its full-length windows, especially during Gion Matsuri (festival of Yasaka Shrine), the most famous festival in Japan.
Meanwhile, The Corner café offers breakfast, lunch, and tea; come evening, it transforms into a bar that serves drinks and light bites.
“Opening Park Hotel Kyoto complements Grand Park Otaru in Hokkaido, offering our guests another beautiful destination in Japan to experience our signature culturally-rooted, globally-inspired hospitality,” says Allen Law, Chief Executive Officer of Park Hotel Group. ”Kyoto has always had extremely strong domestic demand and Park Hotel Kyoto will benefit from the resumption of domestic travel.”
“We are thrilled to open our doors and welcome guests to enjoy a comfortable and enriching experience at Park Hotel Kyoto,” comments Kazuhiko Saito, General Manager of Park Hotel Kyoto. “With our ideal location so accessible to the iconic attractions in Kyoto, our guests can enjoy the best of what the destination has to offer.”
