Dominvs Group has announced the practical completion of a new Premier Inn hotel in Milton Keynes.

Marking its first partnership with Whitbread, the development – located on Avebury Boulevard opposite land earmarked for a new university – will feature 180 guestrooms and a Bar + Block restaurant.

The investment and development company acquired the site from Milton Keynes Development Partnership (MKDP), a council-owned commercial entity promoting previously undeveloped sites across the city.

It has been an exciting opportunity for us to take one of Milton Keynes’ undeveloped sites, to bring more high-quality hotel accommodation to the town’s centre,” says Lee Saywack, Development Director of Dominvs Group.

Stuart Rose, Acquisitions Manager for Whitbread, comments: “Milton Keynes continues to be an important market for Premier Inn and our expansion at Avebury Boulevard will bring our sixth Premier Inn hotel to the area when we open the doors and start welcoming guests in summer 2020.

The hotel will also include our first restaurant and bar in the town, which we are very excited about. Together with the hotel we expect to create between 75 and 80 new jobs on opening at Avebury Boulevard, with recruitment focused in the local area, and we expect to start advertising the roles in early summer.”
