Forbes Travel Guide (FTG) has introduced a new set of complimentary back-to-work Best Practice guidelines, along with a new virtual training programme to support luxury hospitality establishments when they reopen after lockdown.

Both resources have been launched to assist professionals in reimagining luxury service, whilst adhering to national and local government policies related to the pandemic.

These guidelines follow FTG’s recent poll in which 67% of respondents said they expected significant changes in service delivery due to coronavirus.

The guidelines can be accessed here and encompass topics such as cleanliness and sanitation, communication, social distancing, food presentation safety, health and hygiene and touch-less, and limited-contact services.

FTG’s team of trainers will deliver the new virtual training programme, similar to its existing in-person training sessions.

The programme incorporates post-quarantine best practice and is available in English, Spanish, Mandarin, and French. There are 35 topics to choose from in a customisable visual format that includes interactive elements.

“We have stayed connected with Star-rated properties over the past few months and can see how overwhelming it is trying to adopt government and brand guidelines,” comments Amanda Frasier, Executive Vice President, Standards and Ratings.

“There’s one common concern amongst the properties, which has been addressed within the myriad of guidelines; and that’s how to maintain luxury service amid new health protocols.”

The two initiatives follow FTG’s complimentary Hospitality Strong webinars, which launched on 23 April and ends on 25 June.
