Italian manufacturer Bonaldo has teamed up with multidisciplinary firm Seidel+Architekten to furnish Laurichhof in Pirna, Germany. Located in Saxony close to the Ore mountains and Elbe river, just a few kilometres from Dresden and Prague, the hotel offers a unique experience: during their stay, guests can try out the objects that furnish and decorate their accommodation and, if they wish, they can buy them. A range of Bonaldo furniture was chosen for the 27 guestrooms, each named in accordance with their individual style, from the ‘Palazzo de Medici’ suite to the ‘Unter dem Meer’ room and ‘Marrakech’ apartment.
Big in Japan
The Big in Japan apartment pays tribute to the Japanese culture, with Bonaldo’s Squaring bed forming an island reminiscent of the native concept of ‘tatami’. Elsewhere, the May bookcase is the only furnishing element in the hallway and the brightly coloured Kernel poufs and April bookcase create a relaxing oasis.
Fantasia
The furnishings in the Fantasia suite are characterised by unusual and original designs; the Picabia bed features a headboard with a disjointed cushion arrangement, while the Nemesi coffee table combines straight lines and a circle intersect to create a balanced overall effect.
Honey Mohn
This floral room brings people closer to nature, with Bonaldo’s elegant Sheryl chairs lending it a touch of sophistication and matching the shades of the flowers on the walls.
Marrakech
The Marrakech apartment evokes the ambiance of Morocco through oriental decorations such as a cabinet de curiosité bookcase, whose design makes it a container of experiences and inspiration, and the Cop table by Roberto Paoli, featuring a Calacatta ceramic finish.
Palazzo de Medici
The Palazzo de Medici suite recreates the atmosphere of the Italian Renaissance in Florence, with Bonaldo’s Mass Table interpreting its spirit through a geometric design and symmetrical aesthetic.
Unter dem Meer
Translating to ‘under the sea’ – Unter dem Meer echoes the underwater world with its selection of colours, shapes and patterns; in the centre of the living area is Bonaldo’s Peanut B sofa, which is characterised by its iridescent turquoise blue finish and soft modular seats.
Whiteout
Immersing guests in a relaxing, calming environment that restores their body and mind, the Whiteout suite features Bonaldo’s Origami table in an elegant Ceramica Calacatta finish.
