Perkins+Will appoints new Design Principal
Global architecture and design firm Perkins+Will has appointed Brandon Buck as a new Design Principal based in its London studio. Buck brings significant experience, working on complex projects from concept through to completion. His portfolio includes the Which? Headquarters for the Which? Consumers’ Association, Sixty London at 60 Holborn Viaduct for AXA Real Estate, and Aykon London One for Damac Properties.
The appointment follows a period of growth for Perkins+Will’s London studio, with an increasing number of architecture projects currently underway including the recently approved 150 Holborn, a 185,000ft2 newbuild HQ in Camden, and two newbuild commercial office buildings for developer Brookgate in the emerging CB1 and CB4 districts in Cambridge. Earlier this year, the firm also announced its merger with Danish design firm, Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects, to strengthen its cultural practice and expand in the UK and mainland Europe.
“Brandon’s appointment reinforces Perkins+Will’s ongoing commitment to growing its architecture presence in London,” comments Steven Charlton, Managing Director of Perkins+Will’s London studio. “His portfolio of work is a natural fit for the studio and strengthens our ability to deliver high-quality design to clients. We’re feeling ambitious about the future and look forward to building on our recent success and growth with Brandon’s support.”
Buck adds: “Perkins+Will’s ambition is reflected in its diverse portfolio of work, expansion into new services, and a strong interdisciplinary approach. It’s clearly an exciting time to join a team united by enthusiasm for the future. I can’t wait to get started.”
