Four Points opens second Nairobi hotel

Four Points by Sheraton has opened the 172-key Four Points By Sheraton Nairobi Airport, its second hotel in the Kenyan capital. With interiors by Areen Design, the property complements the existing Four Points hotel in the city’s central business district.

Featuring a rooftop swimming pool and fitness centre with views of Nairobi National Park, as well as an atrium with an intricately carved double height feature wall, the project marks Areen Design’s first completed African project. Elsewhere, dining venues include an all day lobby café and rooftop grill, whilst meeting and event facilities total 3,500ft² of both indoor and outdoor space.

Andrew Linwood, Head of Hospitality, Areen Design, comments: ” Our design ethos captures the spirit of the locality, with furniture and fittings drawing reference from the vibrancy of Kenya’s textiles and the rich colours of Kenya’s natural environment. Bespoke structure and details are inspired by authentic timber craftsmanship, carvings and sculptures. We’re delighted to see such a positive response from guests and from the owners, who have now entrusted us with improving its sister hotel in the city.”
