Tribù opens new showroom
Celebrating its 50th anniversary, outdoor furniture brand Tribù has announced the opening of a new showroom in Blizen, Belgium.
Working from a brief to create a timeless, concrete building with interiors that could compete with high-end private projects, the space has been designed by interior specialist Marc Merckx and architect Nicholas Schuybroek.
A linear, two-level geometrical building stretching 80m in length, the showroom is connected to the brand’s main manufacturing plant.
The space has been designed so that it can double as a workplace, and offices on the ground floor are organised around a wide central circulation, dividing the open plan. The warm, minimal interiors incorporating teak walls stand in contrast with the raw, textured concrete columns and architecture, whilst natural light pours through floor-to-ceiling windows, which offer a view of the neighbouring forest.
Cultivating a relaxed ambience around the latest Tribù collections, both building and its interiors reflect the brand’s ‘discreet luxury’ design ethos.
