HDE returns to Shanghai

Taking place from 26-28 April 2017, Shanghai Hospitality Design and Engineering Expo (HDE 2017) will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre and act as a one-stop purchasing platform for commercial spaces. The event will bring together architects, designers, real estate developers, hotel owners, global buyers and industry leaders, from across the industry chain, to explore the latest trends, products and designs through a variety of event strands.

Visitors to HDE 2017 will be given the opportunity to view the latest innovative building and interior products for residential and commercial spaces including a wide range of windows, doors, textiles, carpet, flooring, wall coverings, contemporary furniture, accessories, lighting, and bathroom accessories.

Shanghai Hospitality Design & Engineering Expo has been an element of Design Week Shanghai since 2006, and through 10 years’ development, has  served as a national platform for promoting outstanding design work and exploring the commercial value of design through various conferences, competitions and awards.

Four halls of exhibitors will showcase the latest developments in sectors such as Building & Decoration (Hall E1), Engineering & Design (Hall E2) Decoration & Design (Hall E3) and Expo Lighting (Hall E4). Elsewhere, the organiser will open a business matchmaking area for exhibitors to meet VIP buyers and conduct one-to-one negotiations in a comfortable environment.

The conference and forum strand will welcome speakers including Matteo Thun, Founder, Denniston, Ian Carr, CEO, Hirsch Bedner Associates, and André Fu, Founder, Design Studio AFSO, amongst others.

Returning for a 6th year, the Hotel Plus Mockup Room Show will be held with the support of the China Tourist Hotels Association, and, through cooperation with renowned hotel brands and design companies, will highlight material manufacturing processes. In the past five editions, the strand has featured guestrooms by InterContinental Hotels (IHG), Wyndham Hotels, Starwood Hotels, Hilton Hotels, Beijing Tourism Group, Kaiyuan Hotels, and HBA.

Part of Design Week Shanghai, the event has served as a national platform for the past decade, promoting outstanding design work and exploring the commercial value of design through various conferences, competitions and awards.
