Lake Lucerne resort announced
Bürgenstock has announced a summer 2017 opening for the Bürgenstock Resort Lake Lucerne, Switzerland.
Four hotels – the Bürgenstock Hotel, Waldhotel, Palace Hotel and Pension Taverne 1879 – will combine with the Bürgenstock Alpine Spa, alongside 12 restaurants and contemporary resort facilities, to create this destination.
The resort will offer a modern aesthetic and outlook, alongside a destination steeped in fascinating history, its origins dating back to 1868. At the core of the resort will reside the newly built 102-key Bürgenstock Hotel, boasting panoramic views of the lake and refined interiors paired with the local baroque architecture and influences from the 1950s and 60s. The resort is nestled atop the Bürgenberg mountain ridge in an Alpine biosphere of natural beauty and is designed to integrate into its forest surrounds.
Guests of The Bürgenstock Hotel will receive a unique welcome, arriving by private boat transfer across Lake Lucerne to be greeted by the new Funicular Railway to transport them to The Hotel. Connected by the Felsenweg cliff path, the Bürgenstock Resort Lake Lucerne incorporates an extensive array of amenities. Founded on wellness, nature and design, the resort is set within 60 hectares of pristine Alpine forest and entirely carbon neutral.
