Aloft sets Taipei Beitou opening
Aloft Hotels has set a January 2017 opening date for Aloft Taipei Beitou, the second Aloft hotel in Taiwan.
The 292-key project will offer a blend of compelling design, cutting-edge technology and a vibrant social scene, and will aim to cater for today’s hyper-connected global traveller.
Aloft Taipei Beitou’s interior decor will combine music and technology – two of the brand’s core elements – with Beitou’s natural landscape. The hotel’s guestrooms will offer trendy loft-style spaces, while additional facilities will include the American style restaurant Nook, the brand’s signature W XYZSM bar and three well-equipped meeting rooms.
Elsewhere, the Re:mixSM space on the hotel’s first floor will feature a 6-metre-high ceiling covered with butterfly wing styled wooden panels and a lighting scheme that creates the illusion of movement. A wall of pixel-like RGB LEDs will give the area a futuristic aesthetic.
Aloft Taipei Beitou will be situated in close proximity to various hot-spring destinations, the city’s access and transportation links, and Taipei’s downtown attractions. Surrounding the Beitou district of the city are the Datun Volcano Group and the lush greens of Guandu Plain.
