Park Plaza Nuremberg opens

The 177-key Park Plaza Nuremberg, designed by Scott Brownrigg, has opened its doors. The hotel’s design has been influenced by the city’s cultural and medieval history, and will showcase warm metallic colours, purple and grey hues and shimmering textures inspired by Nuremberg’s Renaissance figures.

Situated opposite Nuremberg’s 19th Century Central Railway Station, and adjacent to Old Town, Park Plaza Nuremberg will offer a 24-hour fitness centre, sauna, versatile meeting facilities for up to 70 delegates, and on-site dining facilities. The 177 guestrooms are set to include superior rooms, which overlook the internal atrium or the city skyline, in addition to executive rooms and suites. A program of artwork and sculptures will include interpretations of Dürer’s Rhino and Behaim’s Erdapfel globe.

BA Beef Club, the hotel’s restaurant, will specialise in premium steaks prepared in a Josper Oven, and will boast a distinct Bavarian-American theme. The menu will offer cuts of meat from both local Nuremberg butchers and USDA prime steaks, both served with a signature range of toppings including Nuremberg-brewed beer sauce or roasted bone marrow. Elsewhere, the Bavarian American Bar serves a mix of German and American beverages, including Bavarian whiskeys, top-quality wines, local beers and Nuremberg-inspired cocktails.
