Luxury Collection, Changsha launches
The Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts, has announced it will open a property on the Xiangjiang River, Changsha in September 2016.
Owned by China Jinmao Holding Group Limited and designed by Callison RTKL, the hotel offers 310 guestrooms including six suites and an expansive 270m2 Presidential Suite.

“The first Luxury Collection hotel in Central China and the first international luxury branded hotel to open in Changsha over the years, The Luxury Collection Hotel, Changsha is an integral part of the Meixi Lake Zone in the city’s Two-Oriented Society Pilot District.”
Tao Yuanming’s poem “Journey to the Immortal of Peach Garden” is the inspiration for the hotel’s design. All guestrooms and suites will offer breathtaking views of the city, the Meixi Lake and the soon-to-open Meixi Lake International Cultural and Arts Center, designed by renowned architect Zaha Hadid.
The hotel sits in the Meixi Lake International New Town, a key component of the national Xiangjiang New Zone, complete with high-end residences and a full range of educational, cultural, and urban life infrastructures. Guests of the new hotel will be able to discover natural beauty, explore historical sites and enjoy upscale retail shopping.
The hotel will also feature a 25m heated indoor swimming pool, a 1,100m2 spa with 14 treatment rooms and 2,700m2 of flexible event space on the third level including the 1,090m2 Jin Mao Grand Ballroom, meeting and board rooms.
Four dining venues cater to a broad range of tastes: The Lobby Bar on the first level will be a lively gathering place with a selection of signature cocktails, authentic teas as well as English afternoon tea service; The Field is the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant which features a menu of local cuisine infused with international flavours, served in view of the lake; Chic and Twist is a stylish diner, bar and nightclub that will serve western steaks and sides along with cocktails, where guests can enjoy live and DJ music; The Peach Garden features authentic Hunan cuisine with additional Cantonese dishes, each created with farm-fresh ingredients and indigenous flavours, bringing Yuanming’s poem to life.
