Wyndham Lake Buena Vista renovated
The Gettys Group has completed a top-to-bottom $10,000,000 renovation of the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Resort in Florida.
The dual branded complex, comprising the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista and the Wyndham Garden Lake Beuna Vista, has undergone a complete renovation, including a total interior design overhaul of the latter property.
The 19-storey Wyndham Lake Buena Vista features 232 guestroom accommodations, including seven parlour suites, 42 rooms with one king bed and 183 rooms with two queen beds. The Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista includes 394 guestroom accommodations comprising 330 rooms with two double beds and 64 rooms with one king bed.
“Our inspiration draws from the vacation lake house retreats that spot the surrounding area,” comments Lorraine Masch, Design Director of The Gettys Group’s Miami studio.
Keeping in line with the area’s natural setting, notable upgrades have been made to the shared lobby. A fresh colour palette, a revamped lobby bar and details including a marble check-in desk, faux boxwood trees, distressed wood paneling, white granite, custom wood screens and bead board have been incorporated into the existing millwork trims and columns.
Further renovations have also been made to the guestrooms in each property, with custom case goods and lighting, plush seating, pillow-top bedding and modern bathroom fixtures now present in both the Lake Buena Vista and the Garden Buena Vista.
“It was important to us that guests, many of whom are families who return year after year, feel that the space is residential in style, cozy and welcoming,” continues Masch, who has detailed the interiors with local influences, most notable the firework design adorning the hallway carpets, reminiscent of the displays visible from the property.
