1508 London designs Decorex bar
Decorex International has announced that Westminster based studio 1508 London is set to design the champagne bar at this year’s exhibition. Taking place from 18-21 September, the event will see the studio – headed up by Louise Wicksteed, Hamish Brown and Shona Patel – take charge of Decorex’s yearly bar installation, one that has previously been overseen by Russell Sage and Les Trois Garçons.
Wicksteed notes: “The Champagne Bar is always a popular space at Decorex, and we are delighted to be designing this year’s installation. Inspired by the roots of classical architecture, our space explores a deconstructed version of classicism. We can’t wait to share our vision with the visitors and exhibitors at this year’s show.”
Last year, 1508 London took charge of the restoration, redesign and refurbishment of a traditional regency villa in the heart of Belgravia, as well as the designing of a leading global investment bank’s headquarters in the heart of London.
Decorex International 2016 will take place in Syon Park, and 1508 London’s champagne bar will feature alongside work from some of the world’s leading luxury interior, craft and product designers. The bar itself will feature as the venue’s social hub, providing a space for attendees to unwind and network over the four days.
Though the design of the bar is still firmly under wraps, 1508 London’s versatile portfolio promises for an innovative, aesthetic, and above all unique space.
