New Creative Director at Stacy Garcia

New York-based design house Stacy Garcia, Inc. has announced that Amy Nercessian has been appointed Creative Director.

Nercessian will be responsible for creative strategy and art direction for all of the company’s brands including Stacy Garcia Hospitality, Stacy Garcia | New York and Stay by Stacy Garcia. Working closely with CEO and Chief Inspiration Officer Stacy Garcia, Nercessian will oversee brand, product, and employee development, as well as spearhead marketing strategies for the company.

Nercessian joined the Stacy Garcia team in 2007 as a designer for the brand’s hospitality products. In 2012, Nercessian was promoted to Senior Brand Strategist where she was responsible for design direction and marketing strategy for Stacy Garcia Hospitality, overseeing collections for licensees such as York Wallcoverings, Durkan, Bernhardt Hospitality and LebaTex.

In her eight years with the design house, Nercessian has brought exceptional talent and management to the internal team as well as to the brand’s exclusive licensees.

“Amy is a multi-talented creative professional who has been leading our design and marketing teams from development through the launch of our successful Stacy Garcia Hospitality collections, ” said Stacy Garcia. “She has been instrumental in setting the stage for the beginnings of our new consumer brands and I am thrilled to see her step into this new role within my organisation.”

Nercessian is a member of NEWH—the Hospitality Industry Network and also actively attends events and forums held by the Color Marketing Group (CMG) and International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA). She looks forward to applying her knowledge of design and passion for the industry to implement creative strategies and assist with new business growth for all brands under Stacy Garcia, Inc.

Nercessian attended the University of Delaware where she received a BFA in Visual Communications with a concentration in Graphic Design and minors in American Material Culture Studies and Art History.
