3form appoint Mike Johnson as Director of Sustainability
Johnson plans to step up green initiatives within 3form. Talley Goodson, 3form CEO comments: “Sustainability is part of our core mission. In his new role, Mike Johnson will provide direction and fresh energy to initiatives like Path to Zero and Full Circle, which are related to corporate environmental and social responsibility in a manufacturing environment.”
3form’s Path to Zero has long contributed to the Corporate Social Responsibility efforts, with the company having already diverted close to 100% waste from landfills. It has reduced its effective carbon footprint through energy efficiency measures and Renewable Energy Credits, among other successful efforts.
The Full Circle programme creates jobs for artisans in remote areas by collaboratively developing products, as demonstrated with some of 3form’s Varia EcoResin collections.
“Our social responsibility commitments shine through the Full Circle product line and program where we’ve created opportunities for meaningful employment and benefits to disadvantaged artisans around the globe,” said Johnson.
Johnson’s initial objectives at 3form include advancing work on product transparency, finding innovative ways to make progress towards 3form’s goal of carbon neutrality by 2017 and increasing the company’s recycling rate.
