Hyatt Place London Heathrow/Hayes is the second Hyatt Place hotel under development in Europe, joining Hyatt Place Zurich Airport. The Hyatt Place brand continues to expand outside of the United States with the recent opening of Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport in The Netherlands, as well as openings in Armenia, Costa Rica, India, Mexico, and Puerto Rico.
Slated to open in the spring of 2015, Hyatt Place London Heathrow/Hayes will offer 170 guestrooms in addition to 168m2 of meeting space, an open food market with made-to-order meals and snacks available around the clock, free WiFi, and a fitness centre.
An upscale select service hotel, Hyatt Place London Heathrow/Hayes will cater to the multitasking traveller with a 24/7 lifestyle. The hotel will be located in Hayes, less than 15 minutes from London Heathrow Airport terminals and close to Stockley Park Business Park and Brunel University.
“We are delighted to introduce the Hyatt Place brand to the third busiest airport in the world and the thriving business community in and around Hayes and Hillingdon,” said Peter Norman, senior vice president, real estate and development for Hyatt EMEA. “The United Kingdom remains an important hub for international business and leisure travel. The airport serves 84 airlines and 184 destinations in 80 countries, and the opening of Hyatt Place London Heathrow/Hayes will mark a significant milestone for Hyatt as we continue to introduce the brand worldwide and offer more choice to our guests in key gateway cities.”
“We are proud to develop the first Hyatt Place hotel in the United Kingdom, and to be restoring a building at the heart of the Hayes community,” said Harry Mohinani, director, Magill Investments Ltd. “The Hyatt Place brand is a unique and refreshing concept, and we believe that this will be a very successful hotel serving both travellers visiting London Heathrow and the local business and residential communities.”
The new hotel follows the opening of Hyatt Place at Amsterdam Airport on 30 January, the first of the brand in the Netherlands. The 330-room property is located in the Hoofddorp area and offers a shuttle to the Schiphol Airport. It is within easy reach of the city centre, Amsterdam Congress Centre and The Hague.
Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport also leads the way in renewable energy. A deep thermal storage system provides heating and cooling for the building, with a central pump connected to a hot and cold water source.
