Natural Retreats confirms plans for 19 luxury residences at Leighton Hall, Lancashire, UK
The brand has received planning permission for the redevelopment of the derelict farm steading site in the grounds of the hall. The site was handpicked for its stunning setting in the heart of the Lancashire countryside and close proximity to the Lake District.
The new development will include the renovation of an abandoned collection of traditional farm buildings, as well as newly built stone cottages. It will be the latest destination for Natural Retreats, whose current portfolio stretches across 15 destinations in the UK, Ireland, Europe and the USA.
“The estate is delighted to be working in Partnership with Natural Retreats on this project,” said Leighton Hall Estate Manager Lucy Arthurs. “Natural Retreats have put together such an imaginative and sustainable scheme to regenerate the Home Farm site, and we are particularly pleased that we will soon be able to offer all our clients quality accommodation on the estate itself.”
Residences, which will range from one bedroom honeymoon bolt-holes to four bedroom family cottages, will incorporate materials reclaimed from the original farm buildings. In keeping with Natural Retreats’ commitment to British products, the spaces will feature British-designed and -manufactured furnishings.
Leighton Hall itself, a long-standing favourite wedding and events destination, is at the heart of the estate and open all year round for hire.
