Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo reveals plans for state-of-the-art rooftop garden
The leading hospitality form is the owner of the luxury property, which will be re-branded as Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo as of 1 January 2013.
Occupying 1,500m2, Serenity Garden is an open-air rooftop space designed for hosting weddings, events and even pop-up restaurants.
“With a breathtaking view of Tokyo and our renowned 17-acre Japanese botanical garden, Serenity Garden will be the new Tokyo hot spot for weddings, corporate parties and special events,” said Kazumasa Suezawa, Fujita Kanko’s President and CEO. “We look forward to working with meeting planners from around the world on innovative uses for this space. It’s another great option at the hotel for international conferences and events.”
Fujita Kanko has commenced a $90 million renovation programme on the hotel, to be completed over the next three years. The re-branded Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo will offer 259 guest rooms, 12 restaurants and bars and 36 well-equipped banquet and meeting rooms, including one that accommodates banquets for up to 2,000 guests – the largest hotel meeting facilities in Tokyo.
Additional new public areas include Café Foresta, with an open kitchen, specializing in sweets, where guests can watch the chefs prepare desserts.
